IFTP Improv Camps: a weekend for creatives
Since 2008, Improv for the People in Los Angeles has been a leader in the study and practice of improvisation at our theater. Our belief is that this art form is great for everyone to learn and that’s where we get our name. Improv makes us better listeners, communicators, collaborators, and people. IFTP is a supportive and encouraging studio whether on stage in Los Angeles or in the woods during camp. Come be a part!

What Is the Content?
Get ready for improv warm up games, short form scene work and structures, long form scene work and structures, group clap-ins, improvised monologues, character development, and even some techniques of sketch writing and performance
With a total of over 80 years of improv study, instruction, and performance, you are in capable and supportive hands with this IFTP faculty!
Camp Itinerary*
Day 1 - Friday
2-4pm: Arrival, Cabin assignments, Meet & Greet, Hiking, Free Time
4pm: Orientation, Group Improv Session
5pm: Breakout Improv Session 1-A
6:30pm: Dinner
8pm: Breakout Improv Sessions 1-B
9:15pm: Breathwork, Guided Meditation
Day 2 - Saturday
7am: Morning Yoga (optional, all levels)
8am: Breakfast
9am: Breakout Improv Sessions 1-C
10:15am: Breakout Improv Sessions 2-A
11:30am: Breakout Improv Session 2-B
1pm: Lunch
2pm-4pm: Group Activities, Archery, Rope Challenges, Hiking, Free Time
4:30pm: Breakout Improv Sessions 2-C
6:30pm: Dinner
7:30pm: Anti-Improv Talent Show! (submit to be in the show…no improv allowed!)
9:30pm: Campfire, S’mores (weather permitting)
Day 3 - Sunday
7am: Morning Yoga (optional, all levels)
8am: Breakfast, Packing Time
10am: Group Showcase
11am: Closing Event, IFTP Gift Shop Open
1pm: Lunch
2pm: Camp Departure
Registration includes lodging, meals, activities, and, of course, tons of improv instruction and play! *Itinerary subject to change
$595+3% processing fee - Early Registration (30 days before first day of camp)
$695+3% processing fee - Regular Registration
Cancellations will be fully refunded when received in writing more than 30 days before the first day of camp less a $50 fee. No refunds within 30 days of the first day of camp.
